In October 2025, the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) program reached an incredible milestone of over 2,000 approved sellers across Australia.
NETCC Council Chair, Clare Petre, said: “For many, a solar and battery system may be one of the biggest investments they’ll make in their homes, so it's vital consumers get products and services that meet their needs and any issues are resolved quickly. The NETCC program is helping raise consumer protection in this space, ensuring retailers follow a code of conduct that focuses on clear, fair and appropriate sales practices and customer service.”

The NETCC program is open for applications. To become a New Energy Tech Approved Seller, a business must demonstrate they meet the NETCC's standards.
